The GZ-MG505's advanced prism optics & filterless 3-CCD pixel shift technology quadruple the pixel count to record 5 megapixel-class stills. In the video mode, this Everio uses 774,180 effective pixels for each RGB color for full-resolution 2.3 megapixel imaging. The broader dynamic range allows you to enjoy videos with truly realistic colors, digital stills up to 2560 x 1920 pixels. The GZ-MG505's optics use 3-dimensional angle mounting technology to assure high precision prism/ CCD registration with extreme accuracy on the order of one micron.
