Movies are SO MUCH better with theater-like surround sound, and the KDS-P901 delivers, big-time. It's a hideaway decoder/digital processor designed for use with our KVT-911DVD TV Monitor/DVD Player and our Z-910DVD in-dash DVD Player (plus select prior models). It decodes Dolby® Digital, DTS®, MPEG, and Dolby Pro Logic, for the kind of total-immersion surround sound experience you get in theaters. The KDS-P901 offers a 3-step digital adjustment that produces the spatial sound effects of being in a small, medium, or large room. The equalizer function provides a 4-band digital parametric EQ, plus factory settings such as Rock and Dance. Digital Bass Management gives you added control over the bass output and even allows control of speaker time alignment, to increase or decrease the surround effect. The unit has connections for compatible Kenwood MZ-BUS components, and with an optional adapter, Dual-Zone Audio Control lets you route separate audio sources to front and rear.
