It offers high resolving power and outstanding contrast rendition over the full image area and over the entire focal length range. It is quite compact and rests comfortably in the palm of the hand. Its extraordinary near-focusing distance is only 3.7'.
This lens works on all Leica R models. If you wish to use it on the earlier Leicaflex models it can be modified by a Leica service center.
