The first 8 x 56 binocular with an integrated laser rangefinder
With the new LEICA GEOVID 8 x 56 BRF, Leica is expanding the line of Geovid models, offering the demanding hunter an unmatched binocular that has been optimized for hunting from a stand at twilight and at nighttime. It was designed in close consultation with experienced European hunters, and it was tailored to their wishes. Highest optical performance, coupled with accurate laser rangefinding, combined in an extraordinarily compact binocular – handy, light, precise.
Leica is the first optics specialist to succeed in combining uncompromising high-performance optics and a laser rangefinder in a particularly compact binocular. That makes the efficiency of the new Geovid 8 x 56 BRF stand out far above that of a classic binocular.
Features:
- Innovative and multifunctional:
The world’s first 8 x 56 binocular with Leica high-performance optics and an integrated laser rangefinder – for identifying game with confidence while simultaneously determining its exact distance.
- Compact and lightweight:
The LEICA GEOVID 8 x 56 BRF, weighing only 1100 grams (less than 39 ounces) including battery, and with a length of only 182 mm (7 3/16 inches), is by far the lightest and most compact 8x56 binocular – as compared to conventional binoculars in this category without rangefinders.
- Bright and brilliant:
Extraordinarily bright – ideal for hunting wild boar from a stand at twilight or at night – thanks to Leica high performance optics with HDCTM multi-coating and a front lens diameter of 56 mm. Outstanding image rendition, rich in contrast, with neutral color rendition, razor-sharp all the way to the edges, more than satisfying the highest demands in hunting.
- Robust and comfortable:
Uncompromised, precise function – even under the harshest conditions from -15 to +50 ºC (+5 to +122 ºF). Secure and fatigue-free observation and rangefinding in every situation and over long periods of time, thanks to a well-balanced weight distribution and to the optimal positioning of the operating elements.
