Here's a phone system that's flexible enough for a growing household! The Panasonic KX-TG5212M expandable phone system comes with a base unit and two cordless handsets. You can add up to 2 more cordless handsets (not included; see "Recommended Accessories") for a total of 4 handsets. The second handset comes with its own charger stand. The second handset is easy to install in any room of your home — just plug its included charger stand into any available AC outlet.
The KX-TG5212M uses the uncrowded 5.8 GHz frequency range for both base-to-handset and handset-to-base communication, keeping your conversations secure and static-free. Plus, it won't interfere with Wi-Fi® home networking devices, which operate in the 2.4 GHz range.
A built-in digital answering system with up to 15 minutes total record time manages your calls while you're unavailable. Call Waiting Caller ID shows you callers' names and numbers before you pick up, even if you're already on a call (requires subscription from local phone service provider). The handsets have illuminated LCDs that show Caller ID information. Your last 50 incoming calls are stored in memory for convenient return-calling, and you get a 50-entry phone directory for storing the names and numbers of your personal contacts.
Speakerphones on the cordless handsets give you the option of hands-free conversation. Panasonic's Chain Dial feature lets you link stored numbers together (such as credit card numbers and PINs) for easy one-touch entry. Voice Enhancer Technology makes callers' voices sound clearer and more natural by interpolating frequencies above and below the standard telephone bandwidth restrictions.
