Looking good! Panasonic's PT-50LC14 is a shining example of a highly versatile, HD-ready, big-screen TV. With a 50" screen, slender build, great picture, and major connection flexibility, this television has everything you're looking for. First of all, as a rear-projection LCD TV, the PT-50LC14's tabletop design is amazingly slim and lightweight. That makes placement much easier, and means this 83-pound TV takes up a lot less space than traditional analog big-screens! Also, with rear-projection LCD technology, you never experience misconvergence of the red, blue and green portions of a signal; they're always perfectly aligned. And you don't have to worry about the image "burn-in" that marred some older analog big-screens -- great news for video gamers. That same rear-projection LCD technology is behind the PT-50LC14's superb, high-definition picture quality. Using built-in "scaling," this TV upconverts every source and displays it as smooth, filmlike 720p progressive-scan video. DVDs look beautiful and high-definition programming will awe you (HDTV reception requires a separate tuner).
